Using the address with Selenium

The controlled browser gets the host and port. The password takes one more step.

In Chrome driven by Selenium, the option is --proxy-server=http://IP:20001. That takes the browser as far as the address and stops there: Chrome does not accept a username and password in that option.

Authentication

There are two paths. Authorize the IP of the server where Selenium runs, and then no password is needed. Or use an extension that fills in the username and password, loaded into the browser profile.

If the site opens through the machine real IP, the browser never received the option. Check on My IP by opening that page inside the controlled browser.
